We produce traditional quality replica banners in both oil and acrylic .
We also design and produce original banners and welcome the opportunity to develop the banner-making tradition using new symbols and imagery.

Three Banners are currently being worked on :-
- A new design for GMB North West & Irish Region
The front of the banner depicts a newborn baby in protective hands surrounded by the words “No Union No Future”. Other images show some of the areas of work by Union members e.g. IT, Building, Sewing
- A new design for Wear Valley District Council to commemorate the local authority before it ceases to exist 1974 – 2009.
- A replica Miners' Banner for the “Hole-in-the-Wall” Lodge, Crook, Co. Durham . The banner will be painted on silk specially woven by traditional method on a jacquard loom.

School Banners.
We have produced banners for eight schools in Seaham working in partnership with the Seaham, Dawdon & Vane Tempest Heritage Project. Bearpark Artists Co-op has also made a school and community banner for Bowburn & Parkhill.
Two artists spend a day in each school and give the children an introduction to the historical role of miners` banners; their symbols and structures. After a practical collective drawing workshop the children paint the borders of the banner and produce imagery to symbolize the past, present and future. We also ask them to think about their school and where they live; what makes them different and special. These ideas are taken back to the studio where the artists integrate them into a design keeping to the spirit of the children's work.
